Hey there! Have you ever heard tales of brave knights, wise queens, or daring adventurers from long, long ago? Guess what? Some of those stories might be about our very own family! We had Sir Robert and Lady Mary to name a few. The stories about our ancestors will take you to The Netherlands, France and England.
Let’s travel way back in time, starting with Europe in the 15th century. That’s about 700 years ago! Our family lived in grand castles, wandered through old markets, and maybe even danced at royal balls. Once we had a Great Grandfather in England who was sent to the Tower of London for some time during a war in England. And then, some of them decided to go on a big adventure and came to America in the 1600s, when everything here was new and waiting to be explored.
Now, there's a super special name we should remember to honor: My Great Grandmother Margaret Barr Jennings. Because of the family she came from, we have a connection to many incredible people from the past. These folks did amazing things, like discovering new places, inventing cool stuff, and even Creating entire new communities! We have many other amazing connections to wonderful people through the Jennings family name too. I know it will be good to learn our history as you explore this website.
